New HDD section contributed by Furatudo - an excellent guide for how to play media files from a PS2 internal hard drive.

Manual updated to reflect changes in version 1.6. Skinning section updated. Portuguese translations added for new sections. Work in progress on new HDD section. Also required are tutorials for using SMS with modchips. Anyone willing to contribute, please head over to the SMS forum. If you feel that the user manual is confusing or incomplete or inadequate in any area, please let me know by posting a message here.

New sections added! Instructions on how to skin SMS, plus how to use uLaunchELF. Work is in progress for updating the manual to include all the new features of version 1.6.

A new translation has been released! The manual is now available in Portuguese, many thanks to NB for his work.

Manual updated again, now includes better subtitle instructions, more detail + examples on network configuration, how to create a DVD-R for SMS (thanks to JuddMan), plus other minor updates, corrections and colour scheme changes

We're pleased to announce the arrival of the full online version of the SMS user manual. It is available in two forms, a set of HTML pages which are hyperlinked together, and one big HTML page. Take your pick! This replaces the previous PDF versions.

Translations

I'm hoping that we'll soon be able to translate the user manual into other languages. This will require volunteers!

We've already got some voluteers for Portuguese, Spanish and Greek so far, and the DocBook source is being set up to allow multiple translations to be maintained. If you'd like to see it in your own language, and are willing to help, please post a message on the ps2-scene SMS forum, or email me on ps2[-a-t-]davet.org.

The DocBook XML source for the manual will be released to the translators on 1-feb-2006, once I've tidyed up the code a bit, and any other corrections have been completed.

If you spot any errors or omissions in the manual - please post them on the ps2-scene SMS forum.
